InternshipsPosition: Visitor Experience Intern Type of Position: Internship/Unpaid The internship program at Sacramento Children’s Museum is a wonderful opportunity to participate in the various exhibits, programs, and initiatives that the museum offers. Sacramento Children’s Museum welcomes individuals who share the same vision in providing children with a place to learn and grow. SCM Interns will be primarily working with field trip students and chaperones that come to the museum. Internship duties include: • Greet and welcome school groups • Ensure that field trips to the Museum are fun, safe and enjoyed by all • Recommend and develop ideas for new field trip activities and/or programs • Interact with Museum visitors and assist them with a variety of tasks as needed • Assist Museum staff as needed Ideal candidates would be responsible, dependable, flexible, and of course, love working with kids! A desire to help the community and a growing non-profit organization is also a plus. Interns will be needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, up to 12 hours per week. The volunteer program at the Sacramento Children’s Museum is a great opportunity to get involved with our growing Museum and all that we have to offer. SCM welcomes volunteers who have the same vision in providing children with a place where they are inspired, challenged, and nurtured. Whether it’s helping create exhibits and programs, organizing fundraising events, or being a docent, there are many fulfilling ways get to get involved.
